A Self-portrait from 1943, a work made in the whirlpool of World War II. During that period Svirakus lived in a small hut on the mountain Korab, and produced several series of drawings, two poetry collections and objects, using natural materials.

After the war he returned to Skopje, where he remined till the end of his life.
